LAVENDER JUNE 2020
Cancer is the third cause of death in Malaysia. Every day, cancer rates in Malaysia are rising. However, with early detection and treatment approaches, deaths from this disease can be constrained. 'LAVENDER JUNE' is celebrated in honour of cancer fighters in overcoming this disease and hopefully it will open the eyes of the world about this disease.
Advanced Medical and Dental Institute (AMDI), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) as a cancer reference centre in the north of Peninsular Malaysia is called upon to take the initiative in awareness of the importance of preventing and treating the disease to local communities in particular and all Malaysians in general.
Various program has been planned for the 'LAVENDER JUNE' celebration from 24 June 2020 to 4 July 2020 and the ultimate of the program is on 'Carnival Day' which will be officiated by the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato' Seri Dr Wan Azizah binti Wan Ismail (* subject to amendment).
Many of the attractive activities such as 'Combat Cancer Run', 'Treasure Mind', 'Aerodance', 'Street Soccer', Chess Intelligence, Colouring Contests, Exhibit Activities & Oral Health and Health Examination, Blood Donation and many more are waiting for you all.
